Job summary

CAI Mahindra in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, seeks an automobile service technician to perform periodic maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and repair vehicles to OEM standards. You will complete repair orders, manage parts, inspect vehicles, and maintain records with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related trade.
• Freshers and candidates with 0–8 years of experience welcomed.
• Experience in automobile dealerships or authorized service centers is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of engine, transmission, suspension, brake and electrical systems.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, teamwork and customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance, general repairs and breakdown service of customer vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and vehicle performance issues using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Carry out repairs as per OEM standards and workshop quality guidelines.
• Complete assigned repair orders within the stipulated time and productivity norms.
• Ensure accurate identification and replacement of spare parts.
• Conduct vehicle inspection and road testing before delivery.
• Maintain job cards, service records and repair documentation.
• Adhere to workplace safety, 5S and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors and Workshop Supervisors for effective job completion.
• Attend technical training programs and continuously upgrade technical skills.
