Job summary

Techila Global Services is seeking an experienced Software QA Automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Playwright/Selenium/Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript. You will work with Cucumber BDD, API testing tools, and manage tests in Azure DevOps.

The role requires strong defect management, test planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on automation experience, understands SDLC/STLC, and can support CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience in Functional and Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright / Selenium / Cypress.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Cucumber BDD is preferred.
• Strong experience in API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
• Strong understanding of defect management, test planning, and execution.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, CRM, Loan Origination, or Enterprise Application

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Work with Cucumber BDD, including feature files and step definitions.
• Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases in Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Log, track, and validate defects using Azure DevOps Boards/Jira.
• Participate in defect triage and collaborate with developers, BAs, and other stakeholders for resolution.
• Support CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Contribute to automation framework development and continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Prepare test execution, defect, and quality reports.
• Follow Agile/Scrum practices and participate in sprint ceremonies.
