Job summary

Satrac Engineering in Dabaspete, Karnataka seeks a Safety Officer responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing the company’s employee safety at work to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.

You will lead new joiner safety induction, issue PPE, conduct self-audits, deliver weekly safety training, organize monthly safety committee meetings, investigate incidents and drive corrective actions, while maintaining safety records.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and implementing OHS policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Proven track record in safety training and inductions.
• Experience coordinating with external agencies for compliance and audits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and oversee employee safety at work and ensure compliance with OHS guidelines.
• Handle new joiner safety induction and PPE provisioning.
• Perform self-audits to identify unsafe conditions/acts; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct weekly safety training for shop floor employees and organize monthly safety committee meetings.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes and ensure countermeasures are implemented.
• Maintain safety-related records and MIS reports; manage safety-related expenses.
• Coordinate with Pollution Control Board for regulatory compliance; support ISO 14001:2015.
• Renew air/water and hazardous waste consents; disposal of hazardous waste to authorized vendors.
• Monitor STP as per PCB norms and address deviations promptly.
• Support administrative activities related to safety and environment.

Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. To ensure that the company is in compliance with and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Achieve Zero accident / incident

• New joined safety induction
• Issue PPE to shop floor employees
• Self-audit to identify Unsafe Condition /Unsafe Act
• Safety awareness training weekly to shop floor employees
• Schedule & organize monthly safety committee meetings and resolve or follow-up for closure safety concern points
• Incident investigation report and find out proper root cause and corrective action. Ensure Countermeasure are implemented
• Track and maintain safety related expenses and records

• Co-ordinate with external agency for monitoring of stack, air, water and noise to identify parameters are meeting to the requirement

• Prepare documents as per requirements
