Job summary

Devilog System India is seeking a Purchase Executive with a strong focus on cost analysis and supplier management. The role involves end-to-end procurement for sheet materials and automotive components, with emphasis on cost optimization and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, extensive BOM and should costing experience, and strong negotiation skills to build a reliable supplier base in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong costing and BOM analysis skills.
• Experience in sheet metal and automotive components procurement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost analysis of components, including raw materials, machining, fabrication, tooling, and overheads (should costing).
• Evaluate supplier quotations through cost breakdown analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to validate product costing, feasibility, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Track fluctuations in raw material prices and update procurement strategies accordingly.
• Develop and onboard suppliers for sheet metal, die-cast, rubber parts, and other components based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Research, evaluate, and qualify potential vendors and suppliers to build a strong and reliable supplier base.
• Lead price negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best commercial terms (pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules).
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for sheet materials and automotive components, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, avoiding shortages or overstocking.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining required quality standards.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Maintain supplier relationships and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate cost and procurement data.
