Job Purpose
The NRI Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers, understanding their banking and financial requirements, and providing suitable banking, investment, lending, insurance, and wealth-management solutions. The role focuses on customer acquisition, relationship deepening, portfolio growth, service quality, and compliance with applicable banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new NRI customers and build long-term relationships with them.
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of NRI customers.
- Understand customers' financial goals and recommend appropriate banking and investment solutions.
- Handle NRI accounts, including NRE, NRO, FCNR and other applicable products.
- Generate business through deposits, investments, loans, remittances, insurance and other financial products.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the existing customer portfolio.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer queries and service requests.
- Maintain regular communication with NRI customers through calls, emails, virtual meetings and other approved channels.
- Support customer onboarding, documentation and KYC requirements in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure compliance with NRI banking, FEMA, AML, KYC and internal bank policies.
- Monitor portfolio performance, customer engagement and revenue generation.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems regularly.
- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and identify opportunities for relationship deepening.
- Coordinate with product specialists, wealth managers, credit teams and operations teams where required.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in NRI-focused campaigns, customer acquisition drives and relationship-building initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Marketing or related field will be an advantage.
- Relevant banking, financial-services or relationship-management experience preferred.
Required Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in banking, financial services, wealth management or relationship management.
- Experience handling NRI customers or NRI banking products will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in CASA, investments, loans, insurance or wealth products may also be considered.
