Job summary

You will develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs, perform design calculations, and collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery while meeting applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in mechanical design using CAD software and able to interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis for assemblies.
• Experience with BOM management and engineering change processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to lead mechanical design activities from concept development through detailed engineering, manufacturing, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, layouts, 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• mechanical designs, drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
• Perform design calculations, material selection, and component selection where required.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, customer requirements, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, fabrication, procurement, quality, and project teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Conduct design reviews and identify opportunities for cost, weight, manufacturability, and performance improvements.
• Manage design changes, revisions, and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and design practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, or relevant CAD software.
• Experience with 3D modeling, assemblies, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, fabrication, machining, welding, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, fasteners, actuators, and structural components.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, standards, and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of relevant ASME / ISO / DIN standards as applicable to the industry.
• Experience with BOM management, engineering change processes, and PLM/PDM systems is desirable.

Education

Bachelors degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
