Job summary

Qualifications

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Create manufacturing drawings with tolerances and material specifications.
• Prepare BOMs and maintain design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and select materials.
• Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, cost, and performance.
• Support workshop activities including fabrication, fitting, assembly, and prototype development.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions against drawings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during manufacturing, assembly, testing.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to resolve issues.
• Update designs based on testing results and feedback.
• Follow workshop safety procedures.

Required Skills:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Create manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and select suitable materials and components.
• Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, performance, and cost.
• Support workshop activities, including fabrication, fitting, assembly, and prototype development.
• Use measuring instruments to inspect components and verify dimensions against engineering drawings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
