Job summary

Ace Designers in Nelamangala, Karnataka, is seeking a skilled CNC operator/programmer to operate horizontal and vertical machining centers, read G-code, interpret engineering drawings, and set up heavy workpieces.

You will control tooling, offsets, and speeds, perform in-process inspection with micrometers and dial indicators, maintain records, and ensure safe handling of large components.

Qualifications

• CNC operators must read G-code and interpret drawings.
• Must understand engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
• Set up workpieces, clamp and align accurately.
• Select tools, adjust offsets, and set proper speeds/feeds.
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometres and dial indicators.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC double-column/large machining centres.
• Read and interpret G-code; verify program with offsets.
• Set up and clamp workpieces; ensure precise alignment.
• Select cutting tools; set tool offsets and speeds/feeds.
• Conduct in-process inspection and dimensional corrections.
• Record inspection results and maintain logs.

Role & responsibilities

• CNC double-column/Machining centres/ Jig boring machine operation.
• CNC program reading and basic G-code/M-code knowledge.
• Engineering drawing interpretation.
• Workpiece setup, clamping, and alignment.
• Tool selection and tool offset setting.
• Work coordinate setting.
• Cutting speed and feed selection.
• Precision measurement using micrometres, vernier callipers, and dial indicators.
• In-process inspection and dimensional correction.
• CNC machine safety and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of tool selection, tool breakage, tool wear.
• Common machining problem diagnosis.
• Safe handling of heavy and large components using crane.
• Maintaining inspection records.
