Job summary

IGW in Pune, India, seeks a skilled CNC technician to set up and operate gear-focused machining cells. You will read drawings, select tools, and optimize programs to improve throughput and accuracy.

Candidates must be proficient in G-code/M-code, perform first-off and in-process checks, and carry out routine maintenance. The role requires travelling abroad for training; passport is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machine setup and operation, especially for gear manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficient in reading/modifying G-code and M-code for optimization.
• Experience with first-off and in-process inspections using precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience of CNC, VMC operating machine.
• Set up CNC machines, including tool selection, alignment, and fixture installation.
• Read and modify CNC programs (G-code and M-code) as required to optimize production processes.
• Operate CNC machines for gear manufacturing (e.g., turning, milling, hobbling, grinding).
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, gear tooth Vernier, and CMM.
• Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, tool replacement, and cleaning of CNC machines.
• Identify potential equipment issues, report them to the maintenance team, and contribute to timely resolution.
