Job summary

ALTEN India is seeking a seasoned Mechanical engineer to drive gap and flush target setting and validate geometry across vehicle programs from concept to launch. You will collaborate with styling, engineering, quality and manufacturing to ensure targets are feasible and issues are resolved during builds.

The role requires 6+ years in automotive gap/flush, GD&T knowledge, and experience with CATIA or UG NX CAD tools. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical
• Minimum of 6 years experience in automotive Gap and Flush Target Setting, Dimensional risk Analysis and Converging with CFT
• Well versed with Datum Strategy for Interior and Sheet Metal parts for Body and Interior
• Knowledge on GD&T and Perceived Quality
• Knowledge in CAD tools: CATIA, PLM or UG TC
• Worked on Sheet Metal and Plastics components
• Statistical basis and monitoring plans
• Body Shop and General Assembly process
• Synthesis and reporting project KPI
• Team Work
• Must have good Communication skill and Must have Good Convergence skill

• Manage gap and flush section book and associated KPI
• Section Analysis and Validation of Geometry at the Vehicle level.

• Leading target setting workshops, and working closely with product styling, engineering, quality and manufacturing throughout all design phases to ensure targets are feasible.
