Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks a Deputy Manager for Incoming Quality in Vadodara to lead inspection of raw materials, components and sub-assemblies, including outsourced items, and to drive quality plans.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in incoming quality, with Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, hands-on experience with SAP QM, Minitab, SPC, 8D, DOE, MSA, and knowledge of GD&T and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in incoming quality control.
• Experience in electrical or automobile manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP QM, Minitab, SPC, 8D, DOE, and MSA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspection and decision making of raw materials, components, and sub assemblies, including outsource Inspection.
• Develop and Maintain Quality Plans and ensure inspection records, test reports, and non-conformance reports.
• Lead root cause analysis of nonconformities / defects or failures and ensuring Implementation Corrective Actions to avoid recurrence.
• Coordination with functions like Design, Engineering, Purchase and Suppliers for various developments, activities.
• Support Supplier Quality System / Process Audit and improvement
• Developing gauges for error free inspection and Train quality engineers / inspectors on inspection techniques and standards.
• Work in all 3 shifts of plant operations
