We are looking for a dynamic, hands‑on, and results-driven Branch Manager to spearhead the day‑to‑day operations of our Travels and Cargo division at the branch level. In this role, you will act as the face of the branch, owning everything from counter bookings, team coordination, and asset management to revenue generation and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate blends strong operational leadership with an active sales mindset. You will not only manage branch staff and resolve customer grievances with empathy and speed but also step out into the market for offline agent marketing and cash collections. Job Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Operations & Asset Management: Oversee daily branch functioning for both passenger travels and cargo services, ensuring seamless booking workflows, counter management, and proper upkeep of branch assets.
- Sales Target Achievement: Take complete ownership of branch‑level revenue and performance targets for both travels (ticket bookings/charters) and cargo shipments.
- Customer Grievance & Query Resolution: Serve as the primary escalation point at the branch to handle, resolve, and close all customer queries, complaints, and disputes promptly and professionally.
- Field Marketing & Cash Collection: Regularly step into the field (weekly/fortnightly) for offline agent marketing, relationship building, and timely cash collections/reconciliation.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, motivate, and coordinate branch staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring smooth shift handovers and task execution.
- MIS & Performance Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and submit accurate Management Information System (MIS) reports detailing branch volumes, revenues, trends, and operational bottlenecks.
- Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking: Actively monitor competitor trends, pricing strategies, and local activities in the transport/cargo sector, sharing timely insights and recommendations for service improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in branch operations, retail/logistics management, transport operations, or team leadership.
- Relevant Experience: Experience in transport, logistics, travel/ticketing or a retail business is a strong advantage
- Leadership & People Skills: Strong people-handling capabilities with the ability to lead a diverse team, manage ground‑level pressure, and drive internal accountability.
- Customer Obsession: Exceptional interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills with a customer‑first attitude.
- Business Acumen: Ability to read numbers, track branch metrics via MIS reports, and execute sales/marketing initiatives in the local market.
- Agility & Field Readiness: Willingness and aptitude for regular field visits, agent meetings, and financial reconciliation.
