Job summary

SAIGroup in Bengaluru is seeking a visionary VP to lead AI and software engineering for our Agentic AI platform in Supply Chain. You will define the technology vision, build AI-first products, and scale an engineering organization to enable autonomous SCM decisions.

You will mentor ~20 engineers, partner with Product and Data Science, and chart the roadmap for enterprise AI-driven SCM solutions, staying at the forefront of LLMs and AI architectures.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with significant leadership.
• Experience building SCM (supply chain management) products such as Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, Master Data Management.
• Hands-on in designing Agentic AI platforms and AI-powered enterprise apps.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Vice President – AI & Software Engineering to lead the development of our next-generation Agentic AI platform for Supply Chain Management.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building AI-first products that transform supply chain planning and execution. You will define the technology vision, lead a high-performing engineering organization, and deliver enterprise-scale AI solutions that enable intelligent, autonomous supply chain decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of a next-generation Agentic AI platform for Supply Chain Management.
• Build AI-powered applications across Demand Forecasting, Demand Planning, Replenishment, Inventory Management, Inventory Optimization, and Master Data Management.
• Drive the end-to-end software engineering lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, release management, and product evolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 20 AI and software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Data Science, and Customer Success teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade AI products.
• Define the long-term technology roadmap for AI-driven supply chain applications and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Establish engineering best practices, scalable architecture, and high-quality software delivery standards.
• Stay at the forefront of advancements in Agentic AI, LLMs, AI Agents, and enterprise AI architectures, driving innovation across the product portfolio.

What You'll Bring

• 18+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, with significant leadership experience.
• Proven experience building Supply Chain Management (SCM) products, particularly in:
  • Demand Forecasting / Demand Planning
  • Inventory Management
  • Inventory Optimization
  • Master Data Management
• Hands-on experience designing and building Agentic AI platforms and AI-powered enterprise applications (mandatory).
• Strong background in AI/ML, Large Language Models, AI agents, and modern AI architectures.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling enterprise SaaS products from concept through production.
• Experience leading and growing high-performing engineering organizations.
• Strong architectural, technical, and product leadership with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. or MBA is an added advantage.

Preferred Background

• Candidates from organizations focused primarily on logistics or retail operations without product engineering experience in SCM applications may not be the best fit.
