Job summary

Velocis in Delhi urgently seeks a Level-3 VoIP Engineer for NIC project to design, implement and manage the Cisco Unified Communications environment. You will craft dial plans, configure SIP trunks, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot complex voice issues.

Responsibilities include upgrades, DR planning, TLS/SRTP security, and coordination with Cisco TAC. Strong leadership and 10+ years of relevant experience are expected; contract type: contractual.

Job description

We have an urgent requirement forVoIPEngineer-L3 Profile for NIC Project for Delhi location.
L3 Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage CUCM call routing architecture, including dial plans, route
patterns, partitions, Calling Search Spaces (CSS), route groups, and route lists.
Configure, administer, and troubleshoot SIP trunks, H.323, MGCP gateways, SRST, and Cisco
Unified Border Element (CUBE).
Design and maintain high availability (HA), redundancy, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
for the Cisco Unified Communications environment.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex voice and collaboration issues,
including:
SIP signaling and call setup failures
Codec negotiation and voice quality issues (latency, jitter, packet loss, and echo)
Inter-cluster and PSTN routing failures
Media resource issues involving MTP, Transcoders, Conference Bridges, and Music
on Hold (MoH)
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and implement corrective and
preventive actions.
Plan, execute, and support CUCM upgrades, migrations, cluster expansions, patches, and
system enhancements while ensuring minimal service disruption.
Implement and maintain security features, including TLS/SRTP, certificate management,
secure SIP, and access control.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize CUCM cluster health, performance, and capacity using
RTMT, CDR/CMR reports, and trace analysis.
Analyze SDL/SDI traces, SIP ladder diagrams, and packet captures (Wireshark) to resolve
complex technical issues.
Coordinate with Cisco TAC and other OEM/vendor support teams for advanced
troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to L1 and L2 support engineers.
Handle major incident escalations, provide design recommendations, and resolve complex
technical issues within agreed SLAs.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs),
implementation plans, and knowledge base articles.
Participate in change management activities, risk assessments, and maintenance windows in
accordance with ITIL best practices.
Support integration and administration of Cisco collaboration solutions, including Cisco Unity
Connection, IM & Presence, Expressway, and related voice infrastructure, where applicable.
