Job summary

MARKS & SPENCER (M&S) seeks a Visual Merchandiser to implement brand standards through displays and in-store decor, ensuring a sharp, customer-friendly shopping environment that reflects the latest fashion trends. You will collaborate with store staff and the Visual Merchandising manager to update displays, use sales data to spot opportunities, and drive promotions across the store.

Daily floor walks with store managers will identify improvements and you will keep the brand look consistent

Responsibilities

• Follow Brand Guidelines: Setup Displays—Arrange store displays exactly as Marks & Spencer directs to keep everything sharp.
• Product Handling: Create customer-friendly product placements that help shoppers find and enjoy their experience.
• Mannequin Styling: Dress mannequins per brand guidelines to showcase latest fashion styles.
• Store Décor: Create high-quality window displays and in-store decorations based on seasonal themes.
• Use Sales Data: Analyze sales data to spot opportunities to boost sales.
• Understand Customers: Ensure store appearance matches brand image for its customer base.
• Equipment Knowledge: Use tools and equipment needed for setting up displays and decorations.
• Teamwork: Coordinate with store staff and Visual Merchandising manager to maintain brand look.
• Follow Processes: Adhere to visual merchandising procedures to maintain store standards.
• Marketing Displays: Set up marketing materials and promotions as planned.
• Update Store Management: Daily/weekly updates with Store Management on displays and feedback.
• Weekly Floor Walks: Walk with Store Managers to identify improvements and boost sales.

1. Follow Brand Guidelines:
   • Setup Displays: Arrange store displays exactly as Marks & Spencer directs to keep everything looking sharp.
2. Product Handling:
   • Customer Experience: Place products in a way that helps customers find and enjoy their shopping experience.
3. Mannequin Styling:
   • Outfit Display: Dress mannequins according to the brand’s guidelines to show off the latest fashion styles.
4. Store Dcor:
   • Windows & In-Store: Create high-quality window displays and in-store decorations based on seasonal themes.
5. Use Sales Data:
   • Find Sales Opportunities: Look at sales numbers and popular products to spot chances for boosting sales.
6. Understand Customers:
   • Consistent Look: Know the brand’s customer base and make sure the store’s appearance matches the brand’s image consistently.
7. Equipment Knowledge:
   • Use Tools: Be skilled in using the tools and equipment needed for setting up displays and decorations.
8. Teamwork:
   • Communicate: Work closely with store staff and the Visual Merchandising manager to keep the brand’s look consistent.
9. Follow Processes:
   • Stick to Guidelines: Adhere to the visual merchandising procedures to maintain store standards.
10. Marketing Displays:
    • JOB PROFILE
    • Promotions: Set up marketing materials and promotions in the store as planned.
11. Update Store Management:
    • Regular Check-ins: Meet with the Store Management team daily and weekly to update them on visual displays and get feedback.
12. Weekly Floor Walks:
    • Improve Sales: Walk through the store with Store Managers each week to find areas for improvement and suggest ways to increase sales.
