Purpose of the Position
We are looking for a creative and digitally savvy Video Editor to join the Creative Team of Hillywood Fiesta. The Video Editor will be responsible for creating engaging video content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms, with a strong focus on Reels, short-form videos, promotional content, campaign assets and social-first storytelling. The role requires someone who understands what makes digital content engaging, has a strong sense of visual storytelling and pacing, and can transform raw footage, photographs, interviews, campaign ideas and creative concepts into compelling video content. This is not a production/post-production editing role. The position will primarily support the Creative and Marketing teams in developing digital and social media content.
Organisational Unit Function
The Video Editor will:
A. Social Media & Short-Form Video Content
- Edit engaging Reels, Shorts and other short-form videos for social media.
- Create content optimised for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
- Convert raw footage and existing content into multiple social media assets.
- Identify strong moments, visuals, sound bites and stories that can be turned into engaging digital content.
- Create videos with strong hooks, pacing and storytelling designed to capture audience attention.
- Adapt videos into different formats, durations and aspect ratios as required by different platforms.
B. Creative Content Development
- Work with the Creative Team to translate content ideas and concepts into videos.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for social media campaigns, promotional campaigns and digital content.
- Suggest video concepts, formats, trends and creative approaches.
- Develop creative treatments for Reels and other short-form content.
- Experiment with different editing styles, transitions, music, text treatments and visual storytelling techniques.
- Stay updated on current social media trends, formats, editing styles and audience behaviour.

D. Content Repurposing
- Repurpose existing videos, interviews, photographs and other creative assets into multiple pieces of content.
- Create different versions of content for different platforms.
- Identify opportunities to extend the life of existing content through creative editing.
- Create short clips from longer interviews or videos.
- Turn key campaign messages into visually engaging social content.
E. Creative Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative Team to maintain consistency in the visual identity of Hillywood Fiesta.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Social Media teams to understand the content calendar and campaign requirements.
- Work with Graphic Designers to incorporate visual assets, typography, illustrations and animations into videos.
- Take direction from the Creative Lead while also contributing independent creative ideas.
- Participate in content planning and creative review meetings.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for a creative and proactive Video Editor with strong editing and visual storytelling skills. The candidate should understand short-form social content, current trends, and audience engagement, while being able to work under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively with the Creative and Marketing teams.

Experience & Qualifications
- A degree/diploma in Film, Mass Communication, Media, Visual Communication, Graphic Design or a related field is preferred. However, a strong portfolio and practical experience will be given greater importance than formal qualifications.
- 2 – 3+ years of experience in video editing and digital content creation.
- Proven experience creating Reels, Shorts or other social-first video content.
- Experience working with social media or digital content teams.
Preferred
- Experience creating content for entertainment brands or public personalities.
- Experience with motion graphics and basic animation.
- Familiarity with Northeast Indian culture, entertainment and digital audiences is an advantage.
