Job summary

The Great Indian Studio is seeking a video editor with motion graphics skills to craft engaging social media content, educational and promotional videos, and brand storytelling. You will collaborate with the founder and creatives to turn briefs into polished edits.

You should bring a strong visual sense, storytelling instincts, and a portfolio/showreel. The role involves independent development of concepts and delivering finished content for various campaigns.

Qualifications

• Portfolio/showreel is mandatory.
• Shortlisted candidates may be given a practical assignment as part of the selection process.
• We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to operate editing software.

Responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, Shorts, and other social media content.
• Edit educational, promotional, storytelling, and brand-building content.
• Create engaging short-form videos with strong hooks, pacing, transitions, and sound design.
• Create motion graphics, typography animations, and simple visual effects.
• Edit talking-head, interview, screen-recording, BTS, travel, and lifestyle footage.
• Repurpose long-form videos into short-form content.
• Add subtitles, captions, music, sound effects, and other finishing elements.
• Create content that suits different audiences and brand identities.
