Job summary

TheRojgaar is seeking a Part-Time Video Editor to work remotely for an initial 3-month term with an extendable duration. The role involves editing for multiple social platforms, adding captions and motion graphics, and repurposing content into clips that fit brand messaging.

Proficiency in major editing tools and a strong sense of pacing and storytelling are required. The position offers consistent monthly work and a stipend range, with bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or VN.
• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and social-first video editing.
• Experience editing reels, shorts, explainers, and narrative videos.
• Basic branding understanding and viewer psychology for retention.

About The Role

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook & Twitter.
• Add captions, transitions, motion graphics, and high-impact visual elements.
• Repurpose long-form content into multiple short clips.
• Maintain consistency with brand style, tone, and messaging.
• Collaborate with the content/marketing team for scripting & planning.
• Deliver polished content on defined timelines.
• Stay updated with modern editing trends, formats, and social video algorithms.
• Maintain well-organized project files, footage, and asset libraries.

Who Fits This Role

• Proficiency in: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or VN.
• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and social-first video editing.
• Ability to create engaging subtitles, quick cuts, and motion text animations.
• Experience editing reels, shorts, explainers, and narrative videos.
• Basic understanding of branding, viewer psychology, and retention hooks.
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

Bonus Skills

• Basic graphic design or thumbnail creation skills.
• Prior experience editing for startups or impact-driven campaigns.
• Understanding of Hindi + English for subtitles.
