JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and complex funds including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses and preparing reports. May lead work of junior team members for assigned client or fund.
• Perform highly complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities in the areas of driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes and specialist review functions. Provide input into methodologies and check complex work done by more junior team members.
• NAV completion, exception review, NAV control, and NAV validation.
• Provide guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations relating to complex accounts or transactions. Resolve reconciliation of accounts for the most complex or atypical transactions and review work of junior team members.
• Draft reports for clients regarding the performance of highly complex funds. Provide guidance on report structure.
• Regularly interact with clients in answering questions and resolving multifaceted issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
• Evaluate GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine impact of new regulations on BNY fund accounting practices.
• No direct reports. Provide guidance to less experienced team members. May be tasked with Team Lead responsibilities. May have people‑management responsibilities in some geographies. Contribute to the achievement of related team objectives.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in finance/accounting/related field.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
