Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a senior technical product leader to drive development and strategy for data, analytics, technology and software products. You will guide the product management team, align with department heads, and oversee budgeting to support scalable initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in agile environments, deep technical product management exposure, and a proven ability to balance time-to-market with feature sets while influencing senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years in technical/engineering roles with SME on technology.
  • 10+ years as a technical product manager or equivalent experience.

Usually assigned to high-growth product area expectations and has fully developed core expertise in industry trends, market segments and competitor profiles. Experienced in Agile and Scrum methodologies. Directing the overall product strategy for the organization. Managing and leading the product management team. Collaborating with department heads to ensure product strategy alignment with company goals. Overseeing budgeting and resource allocation for product initiatives. Primary responsibilities include: Directing the overall technical product strategy for the organization. Using subject matter expertise, experience and thought leadership to influence and direct the technical product management team, key stakeholders and senior leaders. Collaborating with other department heads to ensure technical product strategy alignment with company goals. Overseeing budgeting and resource allocation for product initiatives. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements. Bachelor's degree in a technical related field, typically Engineering or CS degree, or equivalent work experience required. 3-5 years of experience in a technical/engineering role and SME on the technology. Proven experience as a technical product manager (10+ years). Strong technical experience with the ability to communicate and present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders/audiences. 5+ years of experience collaborating with and advising executive and senior leaders to set strategy, define the product, and make tough judgements between time to market and features. 5+ years of product management experience delivering large scale products. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple project simultaneously. This role requires deep product management expertise, excellent leadership and influencing skills and strong business judgement.
