Job description

Company: OSETTL Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Legodesk) Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru (on-site, with travel to partner cities) Reports to: Revenue Team Type: Full-time Experience: 2–4 years

About Legodesk

Legodesk is legal-powered recovery infrastructure for Indian lenders — banks, NBFCs, fintechs and ARCs. We run the end-to-end legal recovery workflow for our clients (legal notices, execution proceedings, suit filing, arbitration, Section 138 / private complaints, insolvency and consumer matters) through a technology platform and a distributed network of partner advocates across India. We are profitable, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified, CERT-In empanelled, and incubated at IIM Bangalore's NSRCEL.

The Role

Our partner advocates are the vendors who deliver our service in court. The Vendor Manager owns that network end to end: finding and onboarding the right advocates in the right cities, allocating cases, holding them to hearing attendance and milestones, getting their payouts right, and keeping the network healthy as we expand from Karnataka into Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and beyond.

This is not a back-office procurement role. You will directly move case throughput, recovery outcomes and revenue collection, and you will work closely with our product team to replace manual coordination with automation (WhatsApp workflows, smart case allocation, automated payouts).

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Building & Onboarding
  • Identify, evaluate and empanel advocates and law firms in target states and cities, prioritised by client demand, loan volumes, default rates and court infrastructure
  • Run due diligence: Bar Council enrolment, practice area and court experience, references, conflict checks
  • Negotiate engagement terms and fee schedules by case type and geography; execute vendor agreements, NDAs and data-protection undertakings
  • Onboard new partners onto the Legodesk platform and our SOPs within a defined timeline
  • Maintain a bench of backup advocates in every active city so no case is stalled by a single dependency
2.Case allocation & Delivery
  • Allocate incoming cases (EP, suit filing, arbitration, Section 138, insolvency, consumer) to the right advocate based on jurisdiction, capacity and track record
  • Track filing timelines, hearing dates, attendance and next-date updates; escal ...
  • Ensure case documents, vakalatnamas and court orders are uploaded and current on the platform
  • Be the single point of escalation for partners and the internal ops team on case-level issues
Performance & Quality Management
  • Run a partner scorecard: hearing attendance, filing TAT, update compliance, order quality, recovery outcomes and client feedback
  • Conduct monthly reviews; coach, re-tier or exit under-performing partners
  • Audit a sample of filings and court records each month for accuracy and compliance
  • Feed partner-level insights into client reporting and account reviews
  • Administer our milestone-based payout model: minimal advances, with fees released on verified milestones and hearing attendance
  • Verify invoices against milestone evidence before approval; reconcile monthly with finance
  • Track vendor cost per case and per state against budget; flag margin leakage early
  • Resolve payment disputes quickly and fairly to keep partner trust high
Expansion & Process
  • Execute the FY 2026-27 expansion plan across 8 states and 35 cities: hire-ahead in priority markets, ground-up network building in new ones
  • Write and maintain SOPs, onboarding kits and partner communication templates
  • Work with product and tech to automate allocation, reminders, updates and payouts; be the internal owner of partner-facing tools
  • Manage secondary vendors where needed (process servers, courier/notice dispatch, stamp paper and notarisation, local clerks)
  • Ensure partners follow RBI Fair Practices Code and recovery-conduct norms, Bar Council rules and our client-specific guidelines
  • Enforce data confidentiality and handling standards consistent with our ISO 27001 controls
  • Maintain complete, audit-ready vendor records and agreements
Success Metrics ( 12 Months)
  • Active, scored advocates in all priority cities, with a backup in each
  • Hearing attendance and next-date update compliance at agreed SLA levels across the network
  • Case allocation within 48 hours of intake
  • 100% of payouts tied to verified milestones; reduced upfront advances
  • Measurable reduction in manual coordination hours through automation adoption
  • Partner churn and payment disputes trending down quarter on quarter
Must Have
  • 4–7 years in vendor/partner management, legal operations, or empanelled-advocate management — ideally at a bank, NBFC, ARC, collections agency or legal-services firm
  • Working knowledge of Indian recovery litigation: execution proceedings, civil suits, arbitration and award execution, Section 138 NI Act, SARFAESI, IBC
  • Proven ability to negotiate fees and hold external partners accountable to SLAs
  • Strong command of spreadsheets and comfort with case/workflow platforms; data-driven in how you review performance
  • Excellent English and Hindi; additional regional languages (Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Odia) are a strong plus
  • Willingness to travel to partner cities
Good to Have
  • LL.B. or legal background
  • Existing advocate network in one or more of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, UP, Bihar, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh or Odisha
  • Experience setting up a vendor network in a new geography from scratch
  • Exposure to process automation or working with product teams
Why Join
  • Own a function that directly drives revenue and recovery outcomes for India's lenders
  • Build a national legal network with a technology-first operating model, not a headcount-heavy one
  • Lean, profitable team with direct access to the founders
  • Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives
