Oben Electric Vehicles in Bangalore seeks an experienced Supplier Development Manager to lead onboarding, evaluation, and cost-optimisation for automotive components. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery in a dynamic EV supply chain.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in EE/ECE or Instrumentation with minimum 4 years in automotive.
• Experience in supplier development and evaluation in automotive.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFM, FMEA, SPC and IATF 16949 ISO 9001.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight timelines with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier onboarding from identification to process validation.
• Drive documentation for CFT meetings and supplier evaluation.
• Perform supplier QA for DFM and support NPD/ECN freeze drawings.
• Supplier visits to ensure process adherence to quality expectations.
• Bridge the gap between Finance and engineering for should-cost and ECN changes related to VAVE.
• Support imports and exports documentation for global sourcing commodities.
• Zero base cost documentation support and drive ECR.
• Support supplier evaluation matrix based on product cost, quality, capacity, delivery, and payment terms.
• Supplier RM supplies evaluation at Tier 3 level for timely deliverables.
• Communicate with supplier for non-conformance of parts and actions till SOP.
• Support PPAP documentation with Quality to closure.

Responsibilities

• Support Supplier on-boarding process from Identification, Qualification, Audits, Assessments, Contracting to Process validation.
• Drive documentation related to CFT meetings for Requirement gathering, supplier identification and evaluation.
• Perform Supplier quality assurance function for DFM study and provide technical support to freeze drawings related to NPD or ECN.
• Supplier visits to ensure process adherence as per the Quality expectations set forth.

Requirements

• Prior experience as Supplier development management in Automotive Industry.
• Excellence in New supplier identification, evaluation management.
• Previous Instincts upon zero based costing and Supplier Audits for evaluation.
• Knowledge about APQP, PPAP, DFM, FMEA, SPC and IATF 16949 ISO 9001.
• Preferred: Completed one complete product development cycle for a vehicle.
• Ability to thrive under pressure to meet stringent timelines, excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• B.E/M.E EE/ ECE engineering with min. 4 years experience. Automotive Industry experience is must.
