Job summary

Multitex Group is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to design and develop process systems for oil and gas projects at our corporate office in Noida. You will run simulations, prepare PFDs/P&IDs, and size equipment to meet project specs.

The ideal candidate holds a Chemical Engineering degree with 2–10+ years of experience in EPC/O&G and is proficient in Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, HTRI, MATLAB, and AutoCAD. Collaborative, safety-focused, and detail-oriented professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in oil & gas, refinery, or related process equipment design.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, HTRI, and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop process systems and equipment for oil & gas production, refining, and petrochemicals.
• Perform process simulations and mass/energy balances.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs; design heat exchangers, separators, pumps, compressors, and vessels.
• Conduct HAZOP/HAZID, risk assessments, and ensure API/ASME/ISO compliance.
• Review vendor documents and support procurement with technical input.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational troubleshooting; develop SOPs.

Experience: 10+ Years in EPC / Oil & Gas Projects

Location: Corporate office, Noida

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Design & Development:
• Develop and design process systems and equipment for oil & gas production, refining, and petrochemical industries.
• Perform process simulations using software like Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, PRO/II, or similar.
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Design heat exchangers, separators, pumps, compressors, and pressure vessels based on project requirements.
• Technical Calculations & Analysis:
• Conduct process simulations, mass & energy balances, and hydraulic calculations.
• Perform equipment sizing and selection (e.g., separators, scrubbers, heat exchangers, columns).
• Evaluate heat transfer and pressure drop calculations for pipelines and process equipment.
• Process Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
• Conduct HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), HAZID, and risk assessments.
• Work on safety relief valve sizing, flare system design, and emergency shutdown (ESD) systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.
• Review and approve vendor documents, technical datasheets, and process specifications.
• Support procurement by providing technical input for equipment selection and supplier evaluations.
• Optimization & Troubleshooting:
• Analyze plant performance data and recommend improvements in efficiency and cost savings.
• Troubleshoot operational issues in oil & gas facilities and suggest process modifications.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational troubleshooting of new and existing systems.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and process specifications.
• Develop operation manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-10+ years in process engineering, preferably in oil & gas, refinery, or process equipment design.
• Software Proficiency: Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, HTRI, MATLAB, AutoCAD, and process simulation tools.
• Technical Knowledge: Fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, equipment sizing, and P&ID development.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• API/ASME training certifications
• HAZOP/HAZID certification
• Oil & Gas EPC Companies (e.g., TechnipFMC, Fluor, McDermott)
• Equipment Design & Manufacturing Companies (e.g., Alfa Laval, Sulzer, Kelvion)
