Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a skilled Tester to join the Dynamic Test team in Bengaluru, focusing on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for Engine Control Modules. The role emphasizes Python and CAPL scripting, and hands-on work with dSPACE/SCALAXIO/VT HIL systems, INCA, and CANoe/Canalyzer.

You will execute software and system safety tests, develop test automation, perform CAN/UDS diagnostics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust validation of automotive embedded control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in requirement-based testing for automotive embedded systems.
• ISTQB Foundation level certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and CAPL scripting.
• Hands-on experience with HIL simulators and testing tools (dSPACE/SCALAXIO/VT HIL, INCA, Trace32).
• Knowledge of UDS diagnostic testing and CAN protocol testing.

Responsibilities

• Execution of software/system safety tests on target systems like HIL and SW test benches.
• Develop and execute HIL test automation scripts using Python and Jenkins.
• Utilize dSPACE/SCALAXIO/VT HIL Simulator systems, INCA, CANoe/Canalyzer and Trace32 tools for testing.
• Perform IO-Peripheral, COM, DCM & UDS diagnostic testing.
• Manage and track requirements using IMS, and Polarion.
• Conduct CAN protocol testing (CAN, CANFD, LIN, Flex-Ray, and Ethernet).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Document test results, provide detailed report and manage test incident reporting.

Your Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Requirement based testing for Automotive embedded systems.
• ISTQB Foundation level certification (Preferred).
• Proficiency in Python and CAPL scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with dSPACE/SCALAXIO/VT HIL Simulator systems, INCA, and Trace32 tool, Jenkins & GitHub.
• Knowledge on UDS diagnostic testing.
• Experience with CAN protocol testing; knowledge of CANFD, LIN, Flex-Ray, and Ethernet is a plus.
• Experienced in automotive systems, sub-system and electronics architecture.
• Basic knowledge of Embedded C and CAPL.
• Strong understanding of electrical and electronics fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good Communication and teamwork abilities.
