Qualifications

Role Overview

As a Software & HIL Test Engineer, you will design and develop validation documentation, SIL/HIL models, test scripts, and components. This role involves both hands-on testing and guiding engineering activities, contributing directly to the validation of future electric and hybrid vehicle drive systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, design & automate test cases, and conduct tests on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems for powertrain software.
• Perform software integration and qualification tests on HiL systems.
• Debug logs, analyse results, and document findings.
• Create and maintain documentation: test cases, reports, issues, best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the engineering team.
• Set up, maintain, and enhance HiL infrastructure.
• Support simulation, test environment design, and system validation.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mandatory).

Experience:

• 4+ years of professional experience in automotive software testing.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong programming skills: Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink scripting.
• Hands-on with dSPACE systems (3+ years).
• Test automation tools: vTestStudio, ECU-Test (plus).
• Requirements management tools: DOORS, IBM Jazz, PTC.
• Source control experience: SVN, GitHub.
• Familiarity with Vector Tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, CANoe.DiVa).
• Experience with UDS/OBD testing (GM CG testing is a plus).
• Debugging & flashing tools: Lauterbach, vFlash, DiagRA.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, Bootloader concepts, microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with ISO26262, Cybersecurity, ASPICE, and ISTQB (preferred).
