Job summary

JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Validation Engineer to conduct validation at vehicle, system and component levels for both EVs and ICE vehicles. The role involves defining test plans aligned with vehicle applications and customer usage, and executing tests on defined routes while maintaining meticulous test records.

Qualifications

• Study of customer usage pattern, benchmark data of vehicles, planning and execution of test as per defined process.
• Verification of vehicles specification & feature before and during the test.
• Setting instrumentation and data acquisition systems to capture critical performance/operation parameter.
• Must have driving licence of passenger car.
• Proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Early Issue identification & resolution.
• Must have ability to work with and negotiate with other functions to achieve common objectives.
• Communication skills to deal with supplier & internal functions

Job description

Role & responsibilities

This position is responsible for mechanical validation at vehicle, system & component level for both Electric vehicles (EV) & Internal combustion engine (ICE). Define test plan as per vehicle application and customer usage, conducting test as per plan in defined route. Maintain test record data.

Preferred candidate profile

• Study of customer usage pattern, benchmark data of vehicles, planning and execution of test as per defined process.
• Verification of vehicles specification & feature before and during the test.
• Implement benchmarking strategies and knowledge management to incorporate lesson learnt into validation process,
• Setting instrumentation and data acquisition systems to capture critical performance/operation parameter. Knowledge of instruments & data logger.
• Knowledge of component test standard, pneumatic & electric circuit to make test setup.
• Work with cross function team (CFT) to ensure smooth execution of validation.
• Monitoring and record of all test activities, preparation of issues with root cause, discussion issue and closure with concern team. Report compilation and release after test completion
• Must have driving licence of passenger car.
• Proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Early Issue identification & resolution. Proven history of problem solving.
