Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer - Validation to lead testing of vehicle body, trims and closures for passenger and light commercial vehicles. You will prepare design verification plans, develop and execute test plans with instrumentation, and analyze data to generate detailed reports.

You will oversee field testing across India and collaborate with design teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or equivalent required with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in validation of vehicle systems and test plan execution.
• Familiarity with DFMEA and PDCA cycles.
• Ability to analyze test data and prepare detailed reports.
• Willingness to perform field testing at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Validate vehicle body, trims and closures mechanisms in passenger and light commercial vehicles.
• Prepare design verification plans for respective systems.
• Develop and execute test plans, instruments and objective testing per standards.
• Conduct field testing across India at various locations.
• Perform root-cause analysis and report findings.
• Collaborate with design teams to understand parameter changes and testing needs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and company standards.
• Assess cabin comfort and NVH from a customer perspective.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies for deliverables.
• Perform field failure analysis and contribute to PDCA development.
• Support DFMEA and SOR with the design team for validation inputs.
• Interpret CAE/RLDA data input and conduct component-level testing.

Senior Engineer -Validation Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1. Validation of Vehicle Body, Trims & Closures mechanisms system of all passenger and light commercial vehicles.
• 2. Design verification plan preparation for respective system.
• 3. Develop and execute test plans, vehicle instrumentations, objective testing as per test standards, data analysis and generate detailed reports summarizing test results, observations.
• 4. Execute test plans in real world conditions at different locations in India like Rajasthan, Leh, Manali etc.
• 5. Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations
• 6. Collaborate with design and development teams for understanding of design parameters, change contents and testing requirements.
• 7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
• 8. Subjective assessment of the system w.r.t customer perspectives - Cabin comfort, NVH/BSR assessment.
• 9. Risk assessment and mitigtaion for the project deliverables.
• 10. FIeld failure analysis and PDCA development.
• 11. Participation of DFMEA , SOR along with design team for the validation inputs
• 12. Interepretation of CAE, RLDA data input & component level testing
