Job summary

ZF in Coimbatore is seeking a Validation Engineer - Wind Turbine Gearbox to lead validation activities for multi-megawatt wind turbine gearboxes and drivetrain systems. You will define test scopes, develop procedures, and ensure reliability and efficiency for global wind farm applications.

You will plan and execute tests using advanced validation infrastructure, manage timelines and budgets, and work with data acquisition, measurement techniques, and MATLAB when applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• 2–4 years of testing experience with data acquisition and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and instrumentation.
• Experience with MATLAB is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation activities for wind turbine gearboxes and drivetrain systems.

What you can look forward to as Validation Engineer - Wind Turbine Gearbox (m/f/d):

• Lead validation activities in line with defined validation strategies for multi-megawatt wind turbine gearboxes and drivetrain systems.
• Ensure customer and technology projects are validated on time, within budget, and meet required technical outcomes to guarantee reliability and efficiency for global wind farm applications.
• Define technical scope and develop detailed test procedures based on customer requirements, drivetrain design targets, and internal validation standards to ensure highest levels of durability, performance, quality, and safety.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute validation tests to evaluate risks as per agreed requirements, leveraging advanced drivetrain test benches and validation infrastructure.
• Proactively manage escalations and maintain transparency in timelines, budget, and test results.

Your profile as Validation Engineer - Wind Turbine Gearbox (m/f/d):

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a testing environment, including measurement data acquisition and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and instrumentation systems.
• Experience with MATLAB is an added advantage.
