Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking a Senior Telecom Design Engineer with OCC expertise in Karnataka, India. You will design telecom and OCC systems, develop IACS and Unified HMI solutions, and ensure acceptances meet contractual and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, estimate manpower for bids, and stay abreast of industry trends while supporting on-site deployments and travel as needed.

Qualifications

For this Role we are looking for a Senior Telecom Design Engineer with OCC Expertise with a minimum of 6 years in OCC systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Conceptual Design, Feasibility Study, Preliminary & Detailed design documents, technical specifications, drawings, test procedures and maintenance programs of telecom (Wired System and Radio System) & OCC System (with knowledge of IACS, Unified HMI solution).
• Design and development of innovative OCC (IACS, Unified HMI Solution) Systems for railway clients, encompassing hardware, software, and system architecture.
• Acting in a final acceptance capacity on all technical matters related to the design of the Telecom & OCC system to ensure contractual and maintenance compliance requirements.
• Estimate manpower requirements for design Telecom and OCC System. Prepare definition and validation methods to support various bids as and when required.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of OCC systems into existing railway infrastructure, aligning with our commitment to operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements to continually provide our clients with cutting-edge solutions.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements governing Telecom and OCC systems for railways.
• Work on Telecommunication Subsystems Designs such as Backbone network system, Radio System, Cable Systems, Safety & Security Systems.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience designing and developing Telecom & OCC Systems, with a strong preference for experience in the railway sector. Proficiency in design of Unified HMI solution for OCC System, Knowledge of Virtualized Platforms, OCC system unified application software development and its lifecycle, database management, and expertise in network protocols.
• In depth knowledge of OCC-BOCC switchover scenarios, Video walls design and latest technology, AI Technology for automated OCC operation.
• Effective communication skills for seamless collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support
