Job summary

Lapiz is seeking a highly experienced Assistant Manager / Senior Manager, Client Accounting Services, to lead engagements for U.S.-based clients from our Chennai office. This role demands proactive communication, strong client management, and hands-on leadership to drive service quality and operational excellence.

The position requires 9–15 years of accounting experience, expertise in multiple accounting software, and a solid grasp of U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 15 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Hands-on experience with 3 or more accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, MRI, or Yardi).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with U.S.-based clients or outsourced accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end accounting for U.S.-based clients.
• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Work with cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, MRI, and Yardi.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and provide client support.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive Assistant Manager/ Senior Manager Client Accounting Services to lead client engagements, strengthen service delivery, and ensure a high standard of operational excellence. The role requires strong client management capabilities, proactive communication, and hands-on leadership & Property Accounting to drive team performance, prevent escalations, and consistently deliver error-free services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end accounting for U.S.-based clients.
• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
