Job summary

Bharat Seats (BSL) is seeking an experienced AM/DM- SCM to oversee end-to-end supply chain management activities at Sector 18, Gurgaon. The role focuses on timely project execution, cost optimization, and supplier coordination.

Candidate should have 8–12 years of SCM experience with a Diploma or B.Tech. Responsibilities include SAP-related initiatives, vendor management, and ensuring seamless material flow for customer projects.

Qualifications

• Location in Sector 18, Gurgaon (on-site).

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time completion of SCM activities and support customer projects per milestones.
• Develop strategies to improve profitability through logistics cost optimization and inventory control.
• Maintain physical inventory within approved tolerances.
• Aim for zero line stoppage and zero premium freight.
• Negotiate with suppliers to reduce raw material costs (RMC).
• Ensure timely delivery of goods in the right quantities and conditions to customers.
• Lead the team to secure timely RM for customer projects.
• Review and improve SCM processes, SOPs for robustness and cost-efficiency.
• Implement supplier relationship programs and monitor supplier performance.
• Drive technology initiatives (e.g., SAP implementation and vendor portals) for efficiency.
• Coordinate material storage/movement with Process Engineering during project execution.
• Finalize packing standards for parts from suppliers before pilot runs.

Location: Sector 18, Gurgaon

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure on-time completion of SCM activities. Support new business acquisition & customer projects execution as per required milestones
• Make and implement strategies to enhance profitability through, optimize logistic cost improvement, optimizing and controlling inventory, etc.
• Physical Inventory discrepancy maintained within approved tolerances
• Zero Line Stoppage with zero premium freight.
• Alternate sourcing and negotiation with current suppliers to ensure RMC is reduced
• Deliver goods and services in right quantity, in right condition, at the right place, at the right time, to the right customer (internal & external customers)
• Enhance customer satisfaction level through zero delivery failure
• Lead the team for 100% timely arrangement of RM for customer projects
• Review current SCM processes, sops and make necessary recommendations to identify more robust, cost effective and value-added processes at each plant.
• Develop, implement, and maintain supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
• Responsible for all initiatives related to technology like SAP Implementation and Vendor portals etc. to leverage Operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Coordinate Material Storage and Material Movement Plan with Process engineering at the time of Project execution Phase.
• Packing Standard Finalization for receiving parts from Suppliers before Pilot Run in Development phase.
