Job summary

SYSTRA India invites an Urban Infrastructure Expert to lead planning and design of city infrastructure projects, including water supply, sewerage, and storm drainage, using GIS-based analysis and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will develop implementation strategies, cost estimates, and ensure compliance with standards, coordinating with municipal bodies and utilities, drawing on a decade of experience to deliver reliable, scalable urban solutions.

Qualifications

• B. Tech in Civil Engineering or Masters in Infrastructure Planning (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in city infrastructure projects.
• Experience handling at least 2 projects related to water supply, sewerage, and storm water for a city.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing urban infrastructure systems using GIS-based spatial analysis and field data.
• Plan and design infrastructure components aligned with population growth, land use, and environmental constraints.
• Collaborate with GIS teams to map infrastructure networks and simulate future service demands.
• Integrate infrastructure planning with land use, transport, and environmental strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and cost estimates for infrastructure proposals.
• Ensure compliance with national and regional infrastructure standards and codes.
• Engage with municipal bodies and utility providers to gather inputs and validate plans.
• Support development of implementation strategies and phasing plans for infrastructure rollout.

Currently, we are bidding for Urban Planning projects across India. The position of Urban Infrastructure Expert is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Assess existing urban infrastructure systems using GIS-based spatial analysis and field data.

Profile/Skills

• B. Tech in Civil Engineering/ Masters in Infrastructure Planning or equivalent.
• He/She should have minimum 10 years’ experience
• He/She should have handled at least 2 projects of city infrastructure designing and managing projects related to water supply, Sewerage, and storm sewer for a town/city.
