Job summary

SYSTRA in India seeks a Transport Planner with a Master’s in Transport Planning and 10 years' experience to lead city-scale projects. You will analyze networks, design multimodal strategies, and collaborate with GIS teams to model future demand.

The role focuses on integrating road, transit, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, ensuring policy alignment, and delivering technical reports for public consultations.

Qualifications

• Masters in Transport Planning or equivalent is required.
• Candidate must have 10 years of experience in transport planning.
• Must have led at least 2 transport planning projects for a city or town.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing transportation networks using GIS tools and recommend improvements based on traffic patterns and projected growth.
• Develop multimodal transport strategies integrating road, transit, pedestrian, and cycling infrastructure.
• Conduct accessibility and mobility assessments using spatial data and modeling tools.
• Collaborate with GIS teams to visualize transport scenarios and simulate future demand.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for stakeholders and public consultations.
• Ensure alignment of transport planning with national and regional development policies.
• Support the integration of transport data into the broader Master Plan framework

Missions/Main Duties

Profile/Skills

• Masters in Transport Planning or equivalent
• He/She should 10 years’ experience
• He/She should have handled at least 2 transport planning based projects for anytown/city.
