Role Overview

Harrow International School Bengaluru is seeking an experienced and globally-minded University Counsellor to guide students through the university admissions process. The ideal candidate will bring extensive international counselling experience, strong global university networks, and a deep understanding of admissions processes across the UK, USA, Europe, and other leading destinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to students (Grades 9–12) on university selection, applications, and career pathways
• Support students in preparing applications for top global universities, including essays, personal statements, and interviews
• Develop and implement a comprehensive university counselling program aligned with IB philosophy
• Organize university fairs, workshops, and parent engagement sessions
• Build and maintain relationships with international universities and admissions officers
• Guide students on standardized testing (SAT, ACT, UCAS, etc.) and scholarship opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of student applications and outcomes
• Collaborate with academic staff to support student profiles and recommendations

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in university counselling, preferably in international schools
• Proven track record of successful placements in top global universities
• Strong knowledge of global admissions systems (UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Asia)
• Experience with IB curriculum (MYP & IBDP) preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work with diverse student and parent communities
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
