Role Overview:
We are seeking aCounselor who combines expertise in both profile building andundergraduate admissions. The role is designed to supportstudents through two key stages of their journey:
- Grades 9–10(Profile Building Focus): Helping students discoveracademic/career interests and guiding them to build astrong, holistic profile.
- Grades 11–12(Admissions Focus): Guiding students through the collegeadmissions process, from university shortlisting to crafting applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct careerexploration and interest mapping sessions.
- Design multi-yearroadmaps covering academics, extracurricular activities, research,internships, volunteering, and summer schools.
- Recommend tailoredactivities such as online courses, competitions, projects,and community service.
- Track studentgrowth and adjust plans as interests evolve.
Admissions Counseling(Grades 11–12):
- Guide students inuniversity shortlisting based on academic background,interests, and career goals.
- Assist withapplication essays, resumes, and recommendation letters.
- Provide feedback onpersonal statements and ensure applications highlight thestudent’s strengths.
- Support studentsthrough the application timeline: testing, deadlines,interview prep, and scholarships.
Across Both Stages
- Maintain consistentcommunication with students and parents to ensure progressand alignment.
- Stay updated onglobal admissions trends, scholarships, and testingrequirements (SAT, ACT, IELTS/TOEFL).
- Ensure personalizedattention (maximum ~50 students per counselor).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degreerequired; Master’s preferred in Education, Psychology, orrelated fields.
- Prior experience asa school counselor, career coach, or admissions advisorstrongly preferred.
- Understanding ofinternational curricula (IB, A-Levels, AP, CBSE, etc.) andstudy-abroad pathways.
- Study abroadexperience (preferred).
