Job summary

Unisys is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to monitor and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure across LAN/WAN/WLAN segments. You will support change and problem management, implement security configurations, and drive automation initiatives.

The engineer will maintain docs, develop knowledge bases, and coordinate with engineering for scalable solutions. The role requires deep experience with Cisco, HP/Aruba gear, and cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS/Google).

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of experience in networking technologies.
• ITIL foundation certification is required.
• Hands-on with Cisco/HP/Aruba devices and WLCs.
• Knowledge of Cisco ISE, DNAC, ACI.
• Experience with public clouds (Azure, AWS, Google).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure per ITIL Incident/Problem/Change management.
• Configure and manage LANs, WANs, WLANs, security devices and Internet/Intranet systems.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches and security configurations.
• Automate repetitive tasks and share best practices across teams.
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices (Cisco/Aruba Meraki).
• Remotely support customers and onsite technicians for WAN/LAN turn-ups.
• Work with engineering to develop knowledge bases and predesign docs.
• Maintain on-call availability and plan network changes per change mgmt.
• Meet/exceed customer SLA/OLA metrics and coordinate with third party vendors.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure within the guidelines of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage) and Change management.
• Configuration management of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless LANs, network segments, security devices and Internet and Intranet systems to ensure operability.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration.
• Continuously explore the opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and share the best practices across all the teams.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers.
• Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment.
• Work with engineering department to develop customer and device specific knowledge base.
• Maintaining and predesign documents for all network infrastructure.
• Maintains on-call availability to respond to network issues and up-time; must be flexible and available with the scheduling.
• Plan and implement network changes as per the ITIL change management process.
• Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics.
• Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of experience in networking technologies.
• ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
• Hand on experience in working with the following:
  • Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices
  • HP, Aruba switches, routers & WLCs
  • Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI
  • SD WAN Silver peak, Velo cloud etc.
• Good level of understanding on the virtualization concepts.
• Knowledge on Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Hand on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers. (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki)
• Professional level certification in one or more fields. (Cisco- CCNA, CCNP, SISE; Aruba - ACSA, ACSP, ACMX, ACSDP)
• Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
