Job summary

Infosys Bengaluru is seeking a Network Engineer to ensure availability, performance, security, and reliability of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. The role requires hands-on Cisco networking experience and strong troubleshooting skills to maintain a stable IT environment.

The candidate will administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, troubleshoot routing issues, and support connectivity services to uphold business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline.
• 3 years of experience in network administration, network operations, or network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless networks, and related network services.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues across the corporate environment.
• Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity services to ensure business continuity.
• Implement and maintain routing and switching configurations in accordance with organizational standards.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, outages, and service degradation within defined SLAs.
• Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and configuration backups.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, including Service Desk, Systems Administration, Security, and Cloud Infrastructure teams.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, network expansion activities, and technology refresh programs.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
