Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Troubleshooting Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Management and Energy Management Systems. The role covers HVAC automation, system reliability, and high-quality service across customer sites.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, resolving network and device connectivity, and performing RCA with preventive actions. Travel to sites for on-site support will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in electrical or related engineering field.
• Strong understanding of building automation concepts and systems.
• Knowledge of fault diagnosis and problem solving in BMS/EMS environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot BMS and EMS systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose HVAC controls and building automation issues across sites.
• Troubleshoot network/field device connectivity and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
• Resolve TCP/IP network problems including routers, switches, and gateways.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Handle customer queries, service requests, and escalations promptly.
• Ensure SLA adherence and maintain service commitments.
• Coordinate with site teams and customers for issue resolution.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and system health checks.
• Prepare service and incident reports and maintain maintenance documentation.
• Provide remote and onsite technical support as required.

The Troubleshooting Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and HVAC automation solutions. The role involves resolving technical issues, supporting customers, ensuring system reliability, and delivering quality service support across customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot BMS & EMS systems to ensure smooth operation and system uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to HVAC controls, automation systems, controllers, and field devices.
• Troubleshoot communication networks using BACnet, Modbus, and other building automation protocols.
• Resolve network and connectivity issues involving TCP/IP networks, routers, switches, and gateways.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Handle customer queries, service requests, and technical escalations in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer support commitments.
• Coordinate with site teams, customers, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks.
• Prepare service reports, incident reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Provide remote and onsite technical support as required.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with customers.
• Willingness to travel for site support when required.
