Job summary

Assort 1 Corp Services seeks an experienced BMS/HVAC service engineer to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on HVAC and BMS systems. You will diagnose faults, monitor performance, and generate energy reports while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires hands-on expertise with BMS platforms and adherence to safety standards, with on-call support and potential system upgrades as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 25 years of hands-on experience in BMS/IBMS and HVAC service.
• Experience with major BMS platforms: Niagara N4, Honeywell EBI, Metasys, Desigo, EcoStruxure.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) and breakdown maintenance for HVAC and BMS systems

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related faults in BMS platforms (e.g., Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider, Enlite KYB)
• Monitor system performance through building automation software and generate performance/energy reports
• Support integration of third‑party systems (fire alarm, access control, lighting) with the central BMS

• Coordinate with clients, facility managers, and internal teams to resolve service tickets within SLA timelines

• Maintain accurate service records, checklists, and documentation for audits and compliance
• Provide on‑call/emergency support as per rotation schedules
• Recommend system upgrades, retrofits, or energy‑optimization measures
• Train client‑side facility staff on basic system operations where required
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols (electrical safety, working at heights, etc.)

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering

• 25 years of hands‑on experience in BMS/IBMS and HVAC service, maintenance,
• Working knowledge of at least one major BMS platform (Niagara N4, Honeywell EBI, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure)
• Understanding of HVAC systems: chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, cooling towers, pumps
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks protocols
