Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Assistant Manager – Service (IBMS) to lead service operations for Integrated Building Management Systems across client sites. The role requires 6–10 years in Building Automation/IBMS/BMS, hands-on experience with major vendors, and strong knowledge of HVAC controls, safety systems, and network protocols.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end service operations for IBMS/BMS installations across multiple locations.
• Manage service engineers and technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM) and AMC obligations are met on schedule.
• Support commissioning, upgrades, and system modifications as required.
• Analyze faults and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
• Review service reports and maintenance schedules with customers.
• Coordinate with project, sales, and technical teams for smooth service delivery.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, safety standards, and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for service revenue, AMC renewals, and modernization projects.
• Conduct technical training and mentoring for service staff.
• Manage spare parts inventory and vendor coordination.

Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for managing service delivery, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, customer relationships, technical support, team management, and ensuring high system uptime across client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of service engineers and technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) obligations.
• Support commissioning, upgrades, and system modifications as required.
• Analyze system faults and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Review service reports, maintenance schedules, and customer compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with project, sales, and technical teams for smooth service delivery.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, safety standards, and operational KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for service revenue, AMC renewals, and modernization projects.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in Building Automation, IBMS, BMS, or Building Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling large commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, airports, or industrial facilities.
• Exposure to AMC management and service business operations.
• Relevant certifications in BMS/IBMS, HVAC Controls, or Building Automation Systems.
