Job summary

JITO is seeking an experienced aviation ticketing professional to handle international bookings, from query to issuance. You will coordinate with airlines and B2B partners, ensure best fare options, and manage post-issuance support for clients across time zones.

The role requires strong negotiation, attention to detail, and the ability to stay available for urgent travel needs while maintaining excellent client relations.

Qualifications

• Experience in international air ticketing concepts and processes.
• Strong client communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle queries, follow ups and close tickets efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Handle itinerary search, PNR creation, issuance and re-issuance of international tickets.
• Manage cancellations, refunds and payment follow ups with clients and agencies.
• Coordinate with airlines and consolidators to secure best fares and options.
• Update clients on baggage, seats, meals, and special requests for trips.
• Monitor ticketing queues in the GDS to prevent ADM and ensure timely issuance.
• Maintain 24x7 availability for emergencies and immediate travel needs.

Job Description

• Understanding the client’s query (FIT, Group, Leisure or Corporate).
• Checking available options on GDS. Also checking with any B2B wholesalers just in case.
• Suggesting best possible routing, airline by keeping in mind Immigration rules.
• Quoting the client lowest airfare in real-time or within few minutes of receiving the query.
• Calling for Passport copies of the client to create the PNR, store the fare.
• Updating the client with baggage allowance, seat & meal preference, special requests.
• Updating the client with issuance deadline, cancellation, rescheduling, refund policy.
• Aggressively following up on the query until the deal gets closed.
• Negotiating lowest possible deal with issuing IATA agent and get the ticket issued.
• Liaise relationship managers of Airline & B2B consolidators.
• Timely checking the Queues in GDS so as to avoid getting ADM.
• Following up with Airlines & Issuing agents for refunds if any.
• Checking weekly statements received from ticketing consolidators.
• Getting best SOTO fares & Coupon fares from their dealers.
• Issuing tickets on Client’s credit cards, Miles, Points when required.
• Coordinating with Accounts team to get invoice generated.
• Promptly sharing ticket copies and invoices with clients.
• Coordinating with clients for payments without any delay.
• Proactively asking the client if he/she needed any additional booking of visa, travel insurance,accommodation etc. If yes, connect the client to our Operations / Sales team immediately.
• Remaining as one point contact for client until the end of the trip.
• Rescheduling, Cancelling the ticket as per client’s requirement.
• Remaining available 24x7 for any emergency situations or when the travel is immediate.
• Maintaining cordial relationship with the client so that they refer us more business.

Responsibilities

Handling all International air ticketing queries from itinerary search, PNR creation, issuance, re-issuance, cancellation, refund, payment follow ups, web check-ins, booking extras like seat, meal etc.
