Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Transport Planner to contribute to railway transportation planning, master plans and station development.

You will review policies, draft guidelines, perform transport modeling, traffic data analysis, and support R&D for station redevelopment in line with MSSR, NBC, MOHUA and related regulations.

Candidates should be hands-on with planning tools and 3D software used in transport modeling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of planning tools used in transport modeling.
• Familiarity with railway policies, manuals and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review existing railway policies, manuals and guidelines to improve transportation planning efficiency.
• Draft/update railway policies, manuals and guidelines and transport planning methodologies.
• Conduct transport planning work, including model split assessment and parking ECS calculation for master plan and station development.
• Perform transport modeling, traffic simulation and traffic data assessment for railway stations/TOD.
• Review Station Master Plans and related drawings for transport planning.
• R&D work for station redevelopment related to transport planning or other tasks as assigned by client.
• Knowledge of guidelines related to railways/station development (MSSR, NBC, MOHUA, UTtiPEC) and related laws.

Context

TRANSPORT PLANNER

Missions/Main Duties

• oReviewing of existing Railway policies, manuals and guidelines for developing and implementing transportation plans and strategies to improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance sustainability of transportation systems
• o Drafting/Updating railway policies, manuals and guidelines, Transport planning Methodologies and manual etc .
• o transport planning work, Model split assessment and parking ECS calculation related to Master plan assessment, Station development plan and ancillary facilities associated to station development.
• o Transport modeling, traffic simulation/ traffic data assessment related to Railway stations /TOD etc.
• o Reviewing Station Master Plans, concept / Tender Stage drawings/GFC stage , architecture /transport planning related drawings, masterplan plan drawings in terms of transport planning etc
• oR&D Works for station redevelopment related to Transport planning or any other R&D work as assigned by client.
• oKnowledge of Guidelines related to railways/station development like MSSR, NBC,MOHUA,UTTIPEC, IS codes related and Indian/Sate/Local Bodies laws related to transport planning.

• oHands on Knowledge of Planning Tools like MS Project & vism , cube , power point , AutoCAD and other relevant 3d softwares used transport modeling software’s.
