Job summary

Khatib & Alami in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Transportation Planner to join our Transport Planning & Traffic Engineering team. The role focuses on traffic modeling, transport planning studies, and traffic impact assessments for projects of moderate complexity.

You will collaborate with modelers and engineers on traffic models, OD matrices, and related analyses, and you will prepare circulation diagrams, studies, and reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering.
• Masters degree in Transport Planning / Traffic Engineering / Management or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support data collection activities (traffic counts, surveys, etc.)
• Work closely with traffic modelers on traffic models and network simulations
• Assist in trip generation, OD matrix development, and traffic analysis
• Prepare circulation, parking, and signage drawings
• Prepare transportation studies and traffic impact assessment reports
• Coordinate reviews with clients and approving authorities
• Review deliverables and support junior team members

Transportation Planner

Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering
• Masters degree in Transport Planning / Traffic Engineering / Management or related field (preferred)

Skills & Software

• Strong knowledge of transport planning and traffic engineering
• Familiarity with international standards and codes
• Mandatory expertise in VISUM
• Experience with VISSIM, Synchro, SIDRA, HCS, AutoTURN, CUBE is an advantage
• Strong analytical, modeling, and communication skills
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage
