Job summary

Egis Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Technical Lead - Transportation Engineering to guide a team of transportation engineers, drive technical excellence, and deliver infrastructure design and traffic management solutions.

You will mentor staff, oversee complex projects, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with urban planners, architects and stakeholders, and present findings to clients and senior management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
• 3+ years in technical leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency with VISSIM, SYNCHRO, AutoCAD, GIS.
• Knowledge of Indian transportation codes is preferred.
• Experience with traffic modelling and network analysis.

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Lead - Transportation Engineering to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead a team of transportation engineers while driving technical excellence and innovation in infrastructure design and traffic management solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing complex transportation projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality engineering solutions that meet industry standards and client requirements.

• Lead and mentor a team of transportation engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
• Design and oversee the development of transportation infrastructure projects, including traffic modelling, network analysis, and feasibility studies
• Analyze complex transportation challenges and develop innovative solutions using advanced simulation and modelling tools
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including urban planners, architects, and stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery
• Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance checks on engineering designs, reports, and deliverablesStay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in transportation engineering
• Present technical findings and recommendations to clients and senior management with clarity and professionalism
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives within the transportation engineering division
• Establish and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for the engineering team

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on infrastructure design, traffic engineering, or transportation planning
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role
• Strong proficiency with transportation engineering software and tools such as VISSIM, SYNCHRO, AutoCAD, and GIS
• Expertise in traffic modelling, network analysis, and transportation demand forecasting
• Solid understanding of transportation infrastructure design standards and best practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and organisational excellence
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive recommendations
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
• Familiarity with relevant Indian transportation codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (preferred)
• Experience with sustainable transportation solutions and smart mobility concepts (preferred)
