Job summary

Peoplefy in Pune is seeking an experienced IT Transition Manager to lead end-to-end IT transition programs within a global shared services environment. The role focuses on standardized, efficient, technology-driven service delivery across geographies.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT program/project management with 3–5+ years in IT transition/transformation, and deep knowledge of ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, COBIT. Prior GCC/GBS exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT Program/Project Management.
• 3–5+ years in IT Transition or IT Transformation.
• Experience leading end-to-end IT transitions involving Infrastructure, Applications, and Service Desk.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Prosci, CSM, or SAFe are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT transitions of services into a centralized shared services model.
• Plan, execute, and govern global IT transition projects with minimal business disruption.
• Drive transition planning, knowledge transfer, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with global IT leaders, business stakeholders, and external vendors for seamless execution.
• Develop transition playbooks, documentation, and knowledge management frameworks.
• Lead change management initiatives to adopt new IT processes, tools, and governance.
• Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Monitor project risks, compliance requirements, KPIs, and transition success.

Hiring: IT Transition Manager – Shared Services (Global IT)

We are hiring an experienced IT Transition Manager to lead end-to-end IT transition programs within a global shared services environment. This role offers the opportunity to drive large-scale IT transformation initiatives across multiple geographies, collaborating with global stakeholders to establish standardized, efficient, and technology-driven service delivery.

Location - Pune

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transitions of IT services, including Infrastructure, Application Support, and Service Desk, into a centralized shared services model.
• Plan, execute, and govern global IT transition projects while ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Drive transition planning, knowledge transfer, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with global IT leaders, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop transition playbooks, documentation, and knowledge management frameworks.
• Lead change management initiatives to support the adoption of new IT processes, tools, and governance models.
• Identify opportunities for service standardization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Monitor project risks, compliance requirements, KPIs, and overall transition success.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in IT Program/Project Management with 3–5+ years in IT Transition or IT Transformation.
• Strong experience managing end-to-end IT transitions involving Infrastructure, Applications, and Service Desk.
• Strong knowledge of transition methodologies such as ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, COBIT, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience in governance, risk management, compliance, and business continuity planning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership.
• Exposure to Shared Services, Global Capability Centers (GCC), or Global Business Services (GBS) environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud migration, hybrid IT environments, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA or Master's degree is an advantage.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Prosci, CSM, or SAFe are preferred.
