Job summary

Babu Banarasi Das University in Lucknow is seeking an experienced Training & Placement Manager to lead placement activities and build strong corporate relationships to enhance student employability across the group.

You will develop placement strategies, coordinate campus drives and internships, and mentor the placement team to meet targets while aligning with academic departments to close industry skill gaps.

Qualifications

• Experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, or Campus Recruitment.
• MBA/PGDM in HR or related field preferred.
• Strong networking with industry and corporate HR heads.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement placement strategies to achieve recruitment targets across all institutions.
• Establish and maintain strong corporate relationships with HR heads and recruiters.
• Identify new recruiters and generate placement opportunities across IT, Engineering, Management and other sectors.
• Plan and coordinate campus recruitment drives, pool placements, internships, and off-campus hiring activities.
• Lead and manage the Training & Placement team and ensure achievement of targets.
• Design and monitor student training programs focused on aptitude, communication, soft skills, and interview preparation.
• Collaborate with academic departments to bridge industry skill gaps and enhance employability.
• Monitor placement statistics, salary packages, recruiter participation, and student joining status.
• Develop industry partnerships and strengthen industry-academia collaboration.
• Prepare placement reports and present progress and improvement plans to senior management.

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop and implement placement strategies to achieve recruitment targets across all institutions of Babu Banarasi Das Educational Group.
2. Establish and maintain strong corporate relationships with HR heads, recruiters, and industry leaders.
3. Identify new recruiters and generate placement opportunities across IT, Engineering, Management, and other sectors.
4. Plan and coordinate campus recruitment drives, pool placements, internships, and off-campus hiring activities.
5. Lead and manage the Training & Placement team, ensuring effective coordination and achievement of targets.
6. Design and monitor student training programs focused on aptitude, communication, soft skills, technical skills, and interview preparation.
7. Collaborate with academic departments to enhance student employability and bridge industry skill gaps.
8. Monitor placement statistics, salary packages, recruiter participation, and student selection and joining status.
9. Develop industry partnerships, organize corporate interactions, and strengthen industryacademia collaboration.
10. Prepare placement reports, review team performance, and present progress, achievements, and improvement plans to senior management.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, or Campus Recruitment.
• MBA/PGDM in HR, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred, a bachelor's degree from a recognized university is required.
• Strong corporate networking and industry connections.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
• Proven track record of achieving placement targets, preferably in the education sector.
