Job summary

Precision Group invites fresh graduates to join as Trainee-Procurement in Chennai. You will assist in supplier discovery, vendor evaluation, and purchase order processing under supervision.

You will maintain records, track orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities while learning ERP tools and MS Excel to support procurement operations. This role offers hands-on experience in market research, quotation analysis, and supplier communications, with 0–30 days notice period.

Responsibilities

• Identifying potential suppliers through market research, obtain quotations, compare pricing, quality, and delivery terms, and support in selecting suitable vendors.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders accurately, ensure proper approvals, and track order status from placement to delivery.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm orders, monitor delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, supplier details, and contracts for audit and reporting purposes.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels, avoid stock shortages, and support in identifying cost-saving opportunities through efficient procurement practices.
