Job summary

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. seeks a Quality & Continuous Improvement professional to lead QCC implementation, monitor Kaizen and DWM activities, and ensure audit compliance across the plant in Haridwar.

You will drive TQM dashboards, track KPI improvements, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to deliver zero defect targets and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial or equivalent).
• MBA (Operations / Quality / General Management preferred).
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification preferred.
• Exposure to TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Business Excellence, and DWM frameworks.
• 5-8 years of experience in TQM, Quality, Business Excellence, or Continuous Improvement roles.

Responsibilities

• Track daily/weekly/monthly QCC project progress across all departments.
• Guide registration, methodology, and documentation of QCC projects.
• Ensure timely closure of QCC projects with reviews and evidence.
• Facilitate participation in internal and corporate events (QCC competitions, HCQC, NCQC).
• Maintain QCC project benefits, savings, and improvements validation.

Job description

Purpose-

To drive TQM activities across the plant by monitoring QCC progress, ensuring audit compliance (DWM, 5S), enabling Kaizen culture, maintaining TQM dashboards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives towards achieving Zero Defect, Zero Loss, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

QCC (Quality Control Circles) Implementation & Monitoring

• Track daily/weekly/monthly progress of QCC projects across all departments.
• Guide departments in project registration, methodology, and documentation.
• Ensure timely closure of QCC projects with proper reviews and evidence.
• Facilitate participation in internal and corporate events:
• Internal QCC competitions
• HCQC participation
• NCQC (National Quality Circle Competition)
• Chairman’s Cup QCC
• Ensure QCC project benefits, savings, and improvements are validated.

TQM Dashboard & Suggestion Rate Monitoring

• Update TQM dashboard data accurately on defined frequency.
• Monitor department‑wise suggestion rates and drive adherence to target.
• Communicate performance gaps and improvement actions to Unit Heads.
• Support analysis of suggestion quality, closure status, and impact.

Kaizen Implementation & Evaluation

• Ensure submission and tracking of daily Kaizen reports from all departments.
• Monitor monthly Kaizen performance and documentation.
• Identify and evaluate the Best Kaizen based on benefit, innovation, and impact.
• Facilitate plant‑level Kaizen competitions and recognition initiatives.

DWM (Daily Work Management) Audits

• Prepare monthly DWM audit schedules.
• Conduct and support DWM audits as per standard guidelines.
• Follow‑up with departments for timely closure of non-conformities.
• Drive reinforcement of DWM culture through structured review practices.

5S Management & Audit Compliance

• Prepare and circulate monthly 5S audit schedule for plant areas.
• Conduct and monitor 5S audits; support corrective and preventive actions.
• Train employees on 5S implementation and sustainment.
• Support workplace organization and visual management initiatives.

ZDWS (Zero Defect Work System) Monitoring

• Track unit-wise progress for ZDWS compliance.
• Evaluate department performance for Best ZDWS Award.
• Provide feedback to process owners for strengthening ZDWS practices.

Cross-Functional Improvement Support

• Support departments in identifying MUDA (waste), MURA, and MURI.
• Facilitate improvement projects using PDCA methodology.
• Coordinate data collection for Quality, Productivity, Delivery, Safety & Morale KPIs.
• Assist departments during internal/external reviews and audits.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain structured documentation for TQM, 5S, QCC, DWM, ZDWS, Kaizen, dashboards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries for TQM Head.
• Support audit readiness for ISO, IATF, and internal quality audits.
• Ensure timely submission of all required reports.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial or equivalent).

• Experience in driving cross-functional initiatives, DTQMP deployment, and organizational capability building.
• Experience in Tyre, Rubber, Auto Components, Chemical, FMCG, or Process Manufacturing Industry preferred.
