Job summary

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in tool maintenance, documentation, and reusability planning.

Job description

Established in 2009, Revata Engineering is a well-recognized manufacturer and supplier of equipment for the Oil & Gas industry. The company’s head office and manufacturing facility is in M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune.

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tooling \ Mould Engineer to lead our tooling department. As the Tooling Engineer, you will be the end-to-end owner of the tooling department, managing the complete life cycle of tool development — from drawing receipt to maintenance post-production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the engineering department to receive finalized tool drawings and provide feedback where necessary.
  • Oversee the complete tooling process including vendor communication, machining, finishing, and internal quality checks.
  • Manage and supervise tool assembly and organize initial and final tool trials in coordination with the production department.
  • Ensure tool trials are successful, documenting trial outcomes and improvements (if any).
  • After successful trials, hand over tools to the production team and monitor usage.
  • Post-manufacturing, receive the tools back from production and ensure proper inspection, maintenance, and storage.
  • Maintain tool records, tool maintenance schedules, and ensure readiness for future batches.
  • Troubleshoot tool-related issues during production and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Optimize tool design for manufacturing feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and durability.
  • Manage inventory of tool components, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Own the budget, vendor selection, and planning for the tooling department.
Who Should Apply

Candidates with a strong background in tool design, particularly in rubber or elastomer tooling, and hands-on experience in managing tooling life cycles and inter-departmental coordination.

  • Solid understanding of GD&T, machining, and assembly processes.Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to tooling challenges.
  • Experience coordinating with production and engineering teams.
  • Prior experience in tool maintenance, documentation, and reusability planning.

Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)

Renumeration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
