Established in 2009, Revata Engineering is a well-recognized manufacturer and supplier of equipment for the Oil & Gas industry. The company’s head office and manufacturing facility is in M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune.
Role Description:
We are looking for a Quality Control Assistant to support inspection and testing of precision and critical rubber/elastomer parts. The role involves meticulous visual and dimensional inspection, as well as routine testing on Revata’s elastomer laboratory instruments. This position is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, patience, and a passion for quality.
Key Responsibilities
Visual & Dimensional Inspection
- Inspect incoming, in-process and finished rubber parts as per drawings and standards.
- Identify defects and deviations; segregate and label non-conforming parts.
- Use precision measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge, etc.).
Laboratory Testing & Measurement
- Conduct routine tests on rubber compounds and products as per procedures.
- Operate lab instruments (Mooney, Rheometer, Tensile Tester, Hardness Tester, Specific Gravity, etc.).
- Ensure tests are carried out correctly and results are reliable.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record inspection results and test data in specified formats.
- Maintain raw material, in-process and final inspection records.
- Update calibration and verification logs for QC instruments.
Equipment & Calibration Support
- Perform routine cleaning and basic upkeep of QC and lab equipment.
- Monitor calibration status and support internal/external calibration activities.
Non-Conformance & Improvement Support
- Report non-conforming material/parts to the QC Engineer/Manager.
- Support basic root cause analysis and follow-up on corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Polymer / Rubber Technology or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in quality control / inspection in rubber, polymer, automotive, or precision components.
- Freshers with strong QC aptitude may also be considered.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and train a team.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to take quick corrective action.
- Commitment to workplace safety, with knowledge of industrial safety norms and emergency protocols.
- Physical fitness to work in a factory environment – ability to stand, climb, lift, and perform in variable working conditions.
Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)
Renumeration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
